  • What do I need to do to buy a vacation package?

    The process of buying a vacation package with Cancun Great Vacations is easy. Simply decide which option is best for you, and reserve it by calling 01-800-262-9116 or by completing a Reservation Request form, and we will take care of the rest. You will receive an email confirming your reservation, which you must sign. Then fax or email a scanned file back to Cancun Great Vacations for completing the reservation process.

  • Are prices based on per night, per person, or per stay rates?

    Each vacation package offered by Cancun Great Vacations provides detailed information, specifying if the package is per night, per person, or for the entire stay. Descriptions on what is included in each package are also available.

  • Are there any restricted dates on my vacation package?

    With our vacation packages, you can reserve your travel dates any time during the 12-month period in low season and even in high season (mid-December through mid-January, mid-March through mid-April, mid-July through mid-August). All reservations are subject to availability.

  • Is there a time limit on using my vacation package?

    From the date of purchase, you have a 12-month period in which to travel using your vacation package.

  • Which accommodations are included in a vacation package?

    Each vacation package offered by Cancun Great Vacations provides detailed information about which accommodations are included in your preferred package. Most vacation packages feature a double occupancy, standard room at the selected hotel or resort.

  • Which hotels participate in Cancun Great Vacations?

    The hotels offering vacation packages in Cancun are the Ocean Spa Hotel and Laguna Suites Golf + Spa hotel. In the Riviera Maya, accommodations are offered at Hacienda Tres Rios Resort, Spa & Nature Park.

  • Do vacation packages include transportation?

  • Are vacation packages transferable?

    Yes, the vacation packages offered by Cancun Great Vacations are transferable. If you're unable to travel, you may transfer your reservation to a friend or relative.

  • Can I transfer my vacation to another person?

    Vacation packages from Cancun Great Vacations are transferable, in part or in their entirety, to anyone who meets the transfer requirements. For more information on transferring vacation packages, contact our customer service department at 01-800-800-3896.

  • Do children stay free?

    Most vacation packages offered by Cancun Great Vacations include a free stay for two children under age 12.

  • Is it possible to exchange a child's reservation for another adult?

    Children under age 12 stay free. If you would like to add an adult to your vacation package, please contact the Cancun Great Vacations reservation department at 01-800-800-3410 or 01-800-020-2006 to ask about corresponding fees.

  • Is it possible for my family to join us on our vacation?

    We will gladly welcome you and your family at our resorts. Since the vacation packages offered are special promotions, only two vacation packages can be used during the same time period.

  • Is it possible to add other people to my vacation package?

    If you want to add other people to your vacation package, contact your reservations agent to check on hotel room availability for the number of people you wish to include. If additional guests arrive with you, a rate per person will be applied by the hotel and must be paid directly to the hotel, which will be more costly.

  • What are the advantages of an all inclusive vacation?

    Since Cancun is an expensive destination, the all inclusive plan allows you to control vacation spending and save money, so all you have to do is relax and enjoy your vacation to the fullest. The all inclusive plan is a great way to treat you and your family to that much-deserved vacation. It includes all your meals (breakfast, lunch, & dinner), beverages, and unlimited domestic drinks (gratuities included), daily activities and non-motorized water sports (kayaking, snorkeling, & windsurfing).

    An additional benefit is that Cancun Great Vacations is the only resort company in Cancun that allows guests of one hotel to use all four resorts for the price of one, each resort having unique characteristics and various amenities.     Upgrading to an all inclusive plan with our reservation agents before your trip rewards you with several benefits like:

  • Is airfare included in vacation packages?

    Our vacation packages do not include airfare, since it would considerably increase package costs and would limit your vacation to certain dates. With our vacation packages, you can travel on any dates you choose within 12 months. If you would like us to coordinate everything for you, our reservation agents offer airfare at competitive rates.

  • Where can I book my flight?

  • Which documents do I need to travel?

    When you travel, you must bring your reservation letter and legal identification, such as a passport and driver's license, plus one valid credit card or debit card for check-in purposes.

  • How far in advance do I need to make my reservation?

    Cancun Great Vacations asks that you reserve 30 to 45 days in advance during low season, and 60 to 90 days in advance during high season (mid-December through mid-January, mid-March through mid-April, mid-July through mid-August).

  • Is it possible to make my reservation without the required advance notice?

    You may reserve without advance notice, even as little as one day before traveling, but you must check availability by calling our reservation department. Cancun Great Vacations highly recommends reserving your travel dates with as much advance notice as possible, since it will be more likely to find the space you need.

  • Is there a penalty fee if I change my dates or cancel my reservation?

    Reservation cancellations and changes must be submitted in writing to your reservation agent 14 days prior to your arrival. Otherwise, your reservation will be subject to a penalty of one night's fee at the current seasonal rate.   • What time is check-in?

    Official hotel check-in time is at 3:00 p.m. If you arrive earlier and the room is available, we will be happy to check you in early. If your room is not available, your belongings will be securely guarded at the front desk until your room is ready, so you and your family can explore the resort. If your vacation is an all inclusive package, you and your family will receive a VIP wristband when you arrive, which helps identify all inclusive guests, so you can start enjoying the all inclusive benefits immediately.

  • What is the process for late arrivals?

    If you will be arriving after normal check-in time, please provide your arrival information to the transportation staff a few days before you arrive. Contact the transportation staff at 01-800-681-1875 or send a fax to 551-084-7533.

  • Are pets allowed at the hotel?

    Unfortunately, our hotels do not accept pets of any kind.

  • Is it possible to book a tour in advance?

    The information about available tours and attractions, including current discounts and specials, is provided by the hotel concierge upon arrival. We recommend you schedule your tours promptly when you arrive at the hotel to receive up to 40% off on any of the tours and attractions offered.

  • Where can I buy souvenirs?

    The hotels associated with Cancun Great Vacations are conveniently located near major, exclusive shopping and entertainment centers in the Cancun hotel zone and just twenty minutes from downtown Cancun (Cancun Centro).

  • What is the procedure if a hurricane occurs?

    Qualified hotel staff will provide guests with the appropriate safety instructions. In the event of an emergency, follow the corresponding security procedures based on official announcements. It is essential to follow these procedures to prevent any type of injury or damage. If necessary, guests will be taken to an official shelter.
